Are you wondering if iMessage notifies the other person if you take a screenshot or save a photo?

Apps like Snapchat and Instagram notify when you take a screenshot of the conversation screen. This makes many people wonder if the same happens with iMessage.

In this article, you will find if iMessage notifies when you take a screenshot of the chat.

Does iMessage Notify When You Screenshot

No. iMessage does not notify when you take a screenshot. Unlike apps like Snapchat or Instagram, iMessage does not show any message to the other person if you take a screenshot of the chat screen.

Screenshots have become an important part of our daily life. We take screenshots for various reasons.

In some cases, we may be forced to take a screenshot of a chat screen or a conversation screen of messaging apps like iMessage. But some people are worried if the other person will know about the screenshot.

Fortunately, iMessage does not notify the screenshots. So you can go ahead and capture as many screenshots as you want and don’t worry about the other person knowing.

Does iMessage Notify When You Screen Record

No. Similar to screenshots, iMessage does not notify when you screen record a chat screen.

Many people take screenshots, while others take screen recordings.

Both the screen recording and the screenshot basically do the same thing.

The screenshot captures a picture of the current screen of your smartphone, whereas the screen recording captures a continuous video of whatever happens on the screen.

If the chat is too long and you don’t want to take a rolling screenshot, you may take a screen recording of the conversations.

As iMessage does not notify other person about screen recording, you can capture screen recording and don’t worry about the other person knowing.

Does iMessage Notify When You Save A Photo

No. iMessage does not notify when you save a photo sent by the other person. You may save the photo directly to your iPhone or capture a screenshot. Either way, iMessage won’t notify the sender.

Some people may want to save some photos sent by someone. In such cases, you can directly save the photo to your iPhone. But they are worried the other person will know they saved the photo.

The sender won’t be notified even if you directly save the photo to your iPhone from iMessage. You may take a screenshot if you want the photo and the chateenshot.

Can You Turn Off Read Receipts On iMessage?

Are you wondering if you could turn off read receipts on iMessage?

Well, it is possible.

Once you turn off read receipts, the other person won’t know if you viewed their message or not.

This can be handy if you do not want the other person to be notified when you read the message.

So let’s see how to turn off read receipts on iMessage.

Open “Settings” on your iPhone.

Scroll down and tap “Messages“.

imessage settings

Scroll down and disable the toggle – “Send Read Receipts“.

disable Send Read Receipts on imessage

You have successfully disabled read receipts on iMessage.

The other person will no longer see if you viewed their message or not.

See what happens after you unblock someone on iMessage.

What’s Next?

In short, iMessage does not notify if you take a screenshot or screen recording of the chat screen. For many reasons, we all want to take screenshots.

If you are worried iMessage will notify the sender about screenshots, like Snapchat or Instagram, worry not, as iMessage does not have a feature that notifies people about things that happened after sending an image or message.

The only thing iMessage notifies is if you have saved an audio message. If you save an audio message, a label saying “Kept” will appear underneath the audio message.

Now that you know iMessage does not notify the sender about screenshot or screen recordings, you can go ahead and take as many screenshots and not worry about the sender knowing about it.

Have you ever experienced a situation where you couldn’t see the other person on FaceTime during a call?

It can be frustrating, especially if you’re trying to catch up with a loved one or have an important business meeting. But why does this happen?

One possible reason could be a poor internet connection.

If you or the other person have a weak Wi-Fi signal or are using cellular data, it can affect the quality of the call and cause issues with video transmission.

Another reason could be an outdated version of iOS or iPadOS. It’s important to keep your device up-to-date with the latest software updates to ensure that it’s compatible with FaceTime.

If you’re experiencing this issue, don’t worry, there are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

In this article, we’ll explore some of the common reasons why you can’t see the other person on FaceTime and provide some solutions to help you resolve the issue.

Ensure you try the following troubleshooting steps on both parties’ devices – iPhone, iPad or Mac.

Enable Content & Privacy Restriction

Enabling Content & Privacy Restrictions toggle on my iPhone has helped me fix the problem instantly. Just follow the steps below to see how.

Enabling Content & Privacy Restrictions can help you fix when you can’t see the other person on FaceTime, especially if the problem is related to parental controls or restrictions set on the device.

Open Settings

Scroll down and tap Screen Time.

screen time settings

Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.

Content & Privacy Restrictions Option

Enable the Content & Privacy Restrictions toggle is turned on. (It should be green).

Turn On Content & Privacy Restrictions Toggle

After enabling it, restart your phone.

Once turned, open FaceTime and call anyone. It should work now and you should be able to see the other person.

A number of other people have also managed to fix the issue by simply enabling the Content & Privacy Restrictions toggle.

Ensure The Internet Is Working

Ensuring that the internet is working is a crucial step in fixing the problem of not being able to see the other person on FaceTime.

The reason behind this is that FaceTime relies on a stable and reliable internet connection for transmitting video and audio data between devices.

If the internet connection is weak, unstable, or disconnected, it can result in various issues, including the inability to see the other person during a FaceTime call.

But how will you know if your Internet is working fine?

The first thing to do is to open the web browser and try visiting a random website like google.com or open YouTube and try to play a video.

The second thing is to open a web browser and head to fast.com. Perform a quick speed test and ensure you have enough Internet speed for doing a FaceTime call.

For video calling in FaceTime, you need at least 1 to 4 Mbps speed and a good internet connection with minimum latency.

Turn On Cellular Data

If you are experiencing difficulties with FaceTime and you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, one potential solution is to turn on Cellular Data and try using FaceTime over your mobile data connection.

Sometimes, the Wi-Fi network you are connected to might have limited bandwidth or be experiencing connectivity issues, leading to problems with FaceTime.

By using cellular data, you can bypass these potential Wi-Fi-related problems and establish a more stable connection.

Turn On Cellular Data

Similarly, if you do not have WiFi and you use cellular data but you forgot to turn it on, FaceTime will not work.

Open the Control Centre and ensure the Cellular data is turned on.

Ensure The Caller Is Not Blocking The Camera

If you are unable to see the other person on FaceTime, it’s essential to check if the caller has inadvertently blocked the camera on their device.

This can happen accidentally, or the other person may have intentionally disabled their camera. Here’s how to ensure the caller is not blocking the camera.

Some devices have physical camera covers, such as a sliding cover or a built-in shutter. The caller should check if any physical cover is obstructing their camera lens and remove it if necessary.

Request the person you’re trying to FaceTime with to check their camera settings. They can do this by going to their device’s Settings (or System Preferences on a Mac) and navigating to the “Privacy” or “Security & Privacy” section.

Sometimes, technical glitches can cause camera issues on FaceTime. Ask the caller to try ending the call and reconnecting or restarting their device to see if it resolves the problem.

Set The Correct Date & Time

Setting the correct date and time on your device is important for the proper functioning of various applications and services, including FaceTime.

Incorrect date and time settings can cause issues with FaceTime calls, as the service relies on accurate time information to establish connections.

Here’s how to set the correct date and time on iOS.

Open Settings

Tap General.

Tap Date & Time.

Enable the ‘Set Automatically‘ toggle.

Set The Correct Date & Time

By setting the correct date and time on your iOS or macOS device, you can ensure that FaceTime and other services work smoothly and avoid potential issues related to incorrect time information.

Restart Your iPhone

Restarting your iPhone can help fix the issue of not being able to see the other person on FaceTime.

Sometimes, software glitches or temporary bugs can occur on your iPhone, which might interfere with the proper functioning of FaceTime.

Restarting your device clears the device’s memory and reloads the operating system, potentially resolving any temporary software issues that may be causing the problem.

Restarting your iPhone can trigger a fresh connection to your Wi-Fi network or cellular data, which may help resolve connectivity issues that could be preventing FaceTime from working correctly.

Press and hold the side button and either volume button simultaneously.

Drag the slider to power off your iPhone.

Wait for a few seconds, then press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears to turn it back on.

Ensure FaceTime is Enabled & Activated

If FaceTime is not enabled or activated on your device, you won’t be able to use the service for video and audio calls.

Open the “Settings” app on your iOS device.

Scroll down and tap on “FaceTime.”

Enable FaceTime

Make sure the toggle switch at the top of the screen is green, indicating that FaceTime is enabled.

Below the toggle switch, you should see your Apple ID or phone number associated with FaceTime. This indicates that FaceTime is activated and linked to your account.

If you see “Waiting for Activation” or encounter any issues with activation, ensure that you have a stable internet connection, and try toggling off and on FaceTime. If the problem persists, you may need to sign out of your Apple ID and sign back in or contact Apple Support for further assistance.

Update iOS, iPadOS, or macOS

Updating iOS, iPadOS, or macOS can be an effective solution for fixing FaceTime issues, including the problem of not being able to see the other person.

Here’s how to update your device’s operating system:

iOS or iPadOS:

  1. Connect your device to a WiFi network.
  2. Make sure your device is charged or connected to a power source to avoid any interruption during the update process.

  7. Review the terms and conditions, and then tap “Agree” to start the download.
  8. Once the download is complete, tap “Install.” Your device will restart to apply the update.
Update iOS

macOS:

  1. Connect your Mac to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. Plug your Mac into a power source, or ensure it has sufficient battery life.
  3. Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
  4. Select “System Settings” from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click “General“.
  6. Click on “Software Update.” Your Mac will check for available updates.
  7. If an update is available, you’ll see details about the update. Click “Update Now” to start the download and installation process.
  8. If prompted, enter your Mac’s admin password.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Update macOS

Reset Network Settings

Resetting network settings can be an effective troubleshooting step to fix FaceTime issues, especially when the problem is related to network connectivity or settings.

When you reset network settings, your device will forget all saved Wi-Fi networks, cellular settings, VPN configurations, and Bluetooth connections.

Here’s how to reset network settings on iOS devices (iPhone or iPad).

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iOS device.
  2. Scroll down and tap on “General.”
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap on “Reset.”
  4. Tap on “Reset Network Settings.”
  5. If prompted, enter your device passcode.

Apple AirTag is a small, button-sized tracker that you can attach to your personal belongings like a keychain, backpack, or bike and then track using the Find My app on your iPhone.

However, the question that arises is, how far can you track your AirTag?

The range and distance of AirTag are essential factors to consider when locating your lost or stolen items.

In this article, we will explore the range and distance of AirTag and answer the question of how far you can track it.

What Is The Range Of An Apple AirTag?

There is no range restriction on an Apple AirTag. One can track the AirTag from anywhere in the world, as long as it is within the Bluetooth range of anyone’s Apple device, which is part of Find My network. The AirTag should be within 33 meters of the closest Apple Device.

When an AirTag is within the Bluetooth range (approximately 33 meters or 100 feet) of any compatible Apple device, it can communicate and send its location data to that device.

The device then relays this information to Apple’s secure Find My network, allowing the AirTag’s owner to track its location through the Find My app on their iOS device or through iCloud on a web browser.

This global tracking capability ensures that your valuable items equipped with an Apple AirTag are traceable and locatable as long as they are in the proximity of an active Apple device connected to the Find My network.

This innovative feature has made the Apple AirTag an invaluable tool for keeping track of your belongings, regardless of where you or your items are.

Can you track an AirTag from miles away?

An AirTag can be tracked from miles away through the Find My network. When an AirTag is not within direct Bluetooth range of the owner’s Apple device, it can still be located using the Find My network.

How Far Can You Track AirTag With Bluetooth Directly

Other Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, or Macs that come within range of the AirTag can anonymously relay their location to the owner through the Find My network.

This means that if someone else’s Apple device passes near your lost AirTag, its location data will be sent to you (the owner) without the person with the Apple device knowing it.

This extends the tracking range to a much wider area and enables users to potentially track their AirTag from miles away or on the other side of the world.

How Far Can You Track AirTag With Bluetooth Directly?

An Apple AirTag can be tracked with Bluetooth directly for a distance of approximately 100 feet or 33 meters.

This means that the AirTag needs to be within this range from your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) for you to establish a direct Bluetooth connection and track its location.

If the AirTag is within this Bluetooth range, you can see its location on a map within the Find My app, and you can also use features like playing a sound on the AirTag to help locate it if it’s nearby.

How Accurate is AirTag Location?

Apple AirTag

The Apple AirTag’s location accuracy is typically within 20 to 30 feet when it is within Bluetooth range of a paired Apple device. This means that the Find My app can provide a reasonably precise location of the AirTag within this range on the map.

For even more precise location guidance, iPhone models with a U1 chip supporting Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology can leverage Precision Finding, which offers enhanced direction and distance indicators when you are in close proximity to the AirTag.

How Long Does The AirTag Battery Last?

The Apple AirTag is designed with user convenience in mind, offering a long-lasting battery life. It comes with a user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, which provides power to the device for an extended period.

Under typical usage, the AirTag’s battery can last up to a year before needing replacement.

airtag battery

Additionally, the AirTag is equipped with energy-saving mechanisms.

The device uses Bluetooth efficiently, activating communication only when necessary and entering low-power modes when idle.

This optimization ensures that the AirTag conserves its battery life, making it a reliable tracking companion without frequent battery replacements.

How To Find A Missing Item With AirTag

Finding a missing item with an Apple AirTag is a simple and effective.

First, open the “Find My” app on your iOS device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Ensure you are signed in with your Apple ID, as this is necessary to access the Find My network and track your AirTag.

Once you are in the Find My app, head to the “Items” tab located at the bottom of the screen.

This tab lists all your registered AirTags and other Find My-compatible devices.

Choose the AirTag associated with the missing item you want to locate.

The app will then show you the last known location of the AirTag on the map.

How To Find A Missing Item With AirTag

In the map view, you’ll see the approximate location of the AirTag. If the AirTag is within Bluetooth range (about 100 feet or 33 meters) of your device, the app will provide a general location with a circular radius on the map.

However, you can use Precision Finding if you have an iPhone model with a U1 chip supporting Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. As you move closer to the AirTag, your iPhone will guide you with more precise directions and distance indicators, making it easier to locate the AirTag, especially when it’s nearby.

If the AirTag is within Bluetooth range but you can’t see it, you can play a sound on the AirTag using the Find My app. This feature will help you identify its location by following the sound.

Even if the AirTag is far from your device and out of Bluetooth range, the Find My network comes into play.

If another Apple device with the Find My feature comes within range of your AirTag, it will relay its location anonymously to the Find My network.

As a result, you can see its location on the map, providing valuable information to retrieve your missing item.

How often does an AirTag update its location?

It depends on a few factors. An Apple AirTag updates its location periodically when it is within Bluetooth range of a paired Apple device (such as an iPhone, iPad, or Mac).

The frequency of location updates can vary based on several factors, including movement and proximity to the paired device.

Typically, when an AirTag is in motion or changes its location significantly, it sends more frequent updates to the paired device.

On the other hand, if the AirTag remains stationary or moves very little, it may send updates less frequently to conserve battery life.

Suppose the AirTag goes out of Bluetooth range. In that case, it won’t be able to send updates until it comes back within range or is detected by another Apple device connected to the Find My network, which can then anonymously relay its location.

How AirTag Works?

The Apple AirTag is a smart tracking device designed to help users keep track of their belongings.

Upon setup, the AirTag is paired with the user’s Apple ID and connected to the Find My app on their iOS device.

It utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to establish a connection with nearby Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs, within its range.

This Bluetooth connection enables the AirTag to communicate its location data to the owner’s device.

However, what sets the AirTag apart is its utilization of the expansive Find My network, a crowd-sourced tracking system powered by millions of Apple devices worldwide.

When an AirTag is out of Bluetooth range from the owner’s device, it can still be located through the Find My network. Nearby Apple devices act as anonymous relays, picking up the AirTag’s Bluetooth signal and transmitting its location updates to Apple’s servers.

This cleverly extends the tracking range of the AirTag, potentially allowing it to be found from miles away as long as other Apple devices are present.

What’s Next?

The Apple AirTag is a great way to find lost or missing items.

However, it has its limitations, with distance being the most important.

As we learned from our research, the AirTag can reach up to 33 feet or 10 meters from any nearby Apple device.

This means that if you lose an item that has an AirTag attached to it, you must be within this range to locate it.

Additionally, the AirTag’s IP67 rating means that it can survive accidental exposure to water, making it a durable option for everyday use.

With the introduction of iOS 15 and macOS Monterey, Apple will now let Android users use FaceTime on their devices. From the very beginning, FaceTime was only available on Apple devices such as an iPhone, Mac, or iPad. But things have finally changed and people using Android or other Windows devices can finally use FaceTime on their device.

Not everyone owns an iPhone and it made things hard for people to find a common communication platform. Until now, to do a video call or audio call, people used to rely on apps that are available for both Android and iOS. For example, WhatsApp or Messenger.

Now that FaceTime is finally available on Android, let’s see how to set up and use FaceTime on Android easily.

How to use FaceTime on Android

How Does FaceTime Work on Android?

First of all, you have to understand the fact that the FaceTime app is not available for Android. With the introduction of iOS 15 and macOS 12, Apple introduced a new feature on FaceTime by which you can add people using Android or other devices.

This option comes with a lot of limitations like you cannot use your Android device to host a call. The way it works is that someone who uses an Apple device should create a call link and then other people have to join the call using the same link. For the same reason, even if you have an Android device, you won’t be able to make a call on FaceTime but only join a call.

It is also to be noted that FaceTime call links can only be opened on either Safari or Chrome web browser. If you are using any other browsers, chances are, it won’t work.

Now that you have a basic idea of how FaceTime works on Android, let’s see how to use FaceTime on Android using the call link. Also, see our guide on using iMessage on Windows

Use FaceTime on Android

The guide is divided into two sections. In the first section, let’s see how to create a FaceTime Call Link and in the second section, you will find how to use the FaceTime Call Link to join a FaceTime call hosted by an Apple user.

How to Create a FaceTime Call Link?

First of all, let’s create a FaceTime Call Link so that we can share it with an Android user. A FaceTime call link can be created using an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The Apple device user has to do this step.

Step 1: Open FaceTime on your device running iOS 15 or iOS Monterey or above.

Step 2: You will find a button to create a new link. Just tap on Create Link button

Step 3: Once the link is created, tap on the green info button on the right side of the newly created invite link.

Step 4: Now a Share button will appear. You can either copy the link and share it with anyone manually or share the same on WhatsApp, Email, Messenger, etc.

Now, we have successfully created a FaceTime Call invite link and shared the same as well. Next, let’s see how to join a FaceTime call with the invite link.

How to Join a FaceTime Call on Android with Invite Link?

If you are an Android user and got the invite link from someone, let’s see how to join the FaceTime call. Make sure to open the link using the Google Chrome browser for Android. At the time of writing this article, only Safari and Google Chrome are supported.

Step 1: First of all, click on the FaceTime call link sent by an Apple user. All you have to do is just open the link using the Google Chrome web browser. You can just copy the link and paste it in Chrome’s address bar and hit go.

Step 3: Now a popup will appear asking you to grant camera and microphone permission. Both these are very important and mandatory for FaceTime to work on Android. Tap on the Allow button on the popup to allow necessary permissions.

Step 4: Once you grant the necessary permissions, tap on the green Join button.

After tapping on the Join button, you will have to wait until the iOS user approves your request. Once accepted, you will be added to the FaceTime call. Now, you can use your Android device to attend a FaceTime call.

Limitations of FaceTime on Android

Android users do not get to enjoy all the features available on FaceTime. A lot of main features are still exclusive to Apple users only. You can find the major limitations below.

  • You cannot start a call from your Android device. Using your Android device, you can only join a call hosted by an Apple user.
  • Android users won’t get the option to share the screen through FaceTime call.
  • Only Safari and Google Chrome web browsers are supported.
  • Even after opening the link, the Apple user have to accept you to join the call.

FaceTime on Android – FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions and answers on using FaceTime on Android.

Is the FaceTime app available on Android?

No, the FaceTime app is not yet available on Android. The way it works is using invite links. An iPhone, iPad, or Mac user has to create an invite link first and then share it with others. This is the only way to use FaceTime on Android.

Should I download anything?

You don’t need to download anything in order to use FaceTime on Android. All you need is an active Internet connection and a Google Chrome web browser. If you don’t have Chrome installed on your Android device then head over to Play Store and install Chrome for Android

How long will a link be active?

Once created, the FaceTime call invite link will be active for more than 2 weeks for sure. I am not sure how long exactly.

Which are the supported browsers?

At the time of writing this article, only two browsers are supported. You can use Safari or Google Chrome to access and join a FaceTime call via link. I am not sure why other web browsers like Google Chrome based on Chromium are not supported.

Use FaceTime on Android to Call an Apple User

This is how we use FaceTime on Android to call an iPad, iPhone, or Mac user. It was with iOS 15 and macOS Monterey that Apple introduced the option to let Android and Windows users use FaceTime. A lot of people think that a dedicated FaceTime app for Android is available but that’s not the case. There is no FaceTime app for Android. We are basically using FaceTime on our web browser to use on Android.

Apple AirTag Not Working – Solutions and Fixes to Try

Since we are not sure what exactly is wrong with the Apple AirTag, you might want to try multiple fixes to come to a solution. Every fix given below is simple and easy to try. So give them a shot and see if you can fix the issue. Sometimes, while you try to connect AirTag with your iPhone, it may not work. Solutions for that kind of issue are also mentioned in the article below.

First up, let’s start by fixing AirTag not connecting to iPhone issue.

1. AirTag won’t work on Managed Apple ID

As per Apple’s support page, if you are using a Managed Apple ID on your iPhone then you cannot connect or pair Apple AirTag. Managed Apple ID is entirely different from a standard Apple ID. Managed Apple ID comes with limitations like not able to use AirTag, etc.

Managed Apple ID is generally provided by your head organization like University, etc. So, the student’s Apple account is managed by the University. In this case, AirTag won’t work on your device. It doesn’t matter if it is an iPhone or iPad, AirTag works with none of them if it is using Managed Apple ID.

2. Enable Find My iPhone

In order for Apple AirTag to work, the Find my iPhone option should be enabled globally on the iPhone or iPad. Even if it is enabled already, try disabling and enabling the same option again to see if it solves the problem.

You can follow the steps given below to enable Find my iPhone, if not enabled already

  • Head over to iPhone Settings
  • Select the Find My iPhone option under Find My
  • Simply click on the toggle to enable it.

3. Make Sure Location Services is Enabled

Location Services play a great role in finding your AirTag. Sometimes, the service might be turned off. If location services are turned off in your iPhone then try turning it on manually. Even if Location Services is enabled already, try disabling and enabling it.

Location Services on iPhone can be easily enabled by following the steps below

  • Open iPhone Settings
  • Go to Privacy Settings
  • Now select Location Services and make sure it is turned on

4. Double Check Connectivity Features

As you might already know, AirTag mainly uses the Internet, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc to work. If some of these components or features misbehave then it can affect the way in which AirTag works. As a troubleshooting measure, you are advised to go through all these settings on your iPhone and make sure all of them are working fine.

It is also recommended that you try disabling and enabling all these connectivity features like Bluetooth, WiFi, Cellular, etc. Refreshing the connection can sometimes help you in fixing AirTag connecting issue to a great extend.

5. Restart your Device

It might sound silly. But it works sometimes. In fact, the first thing I always try to do when something misbehaves or does not work at all is restart the device itself to see if the problem solves on its own. Sometimes the underlying problem won’t be big, a simple system restart might solve the issue.

restart iphone

I have experienced other issues like this, and restarting the device helped me in solving the issue. So, you are advised to restart your device to see if it heals the problem.

6. Enable Two Factor Authentication

For AirTags to work, you need to have 2FA or Two Factor Authentication enabled on your device. The same is the case with both iPhone as well as iPad. If Two Factor Authentication is disabled on your device then enabling it can fix the issue easily.

Here’s how you can enable two factor authentication on your iPhone easily.

  • Open your iPhone/iPad’s Settings
  • Tap on your username from the top
  • Under Password and Security, make sure that you have enabled Two Factor Authentication.

Enabling 2FA is as simple as clicking that toggle. Nothing more to do.

Now try to connect AirTag to your device and it should work this time.

7. Replace AirTag’s Battery

AirTag draws its power and energy to work from a regular CR2032 battery. If the battery is down or fully drained then the AirTag will simply stop working. If that is the case then you can replace the battery on your own and fix the issue easily.

Opening the AirTag to replace the battery is fairly simple and easy. Once opened, you can use any CR2032  battery and close the lid again. Now try to pair the AirTag again and hopefully it should work this time. Try this method if the AirTag’s battery is down.

8. Factory Reset AirTag

Did you know that you can factory reset AirTag in a few steps? Even after tiring all the methods mentioned in the article, if you end up with no luck then it’s time to factory reset AirTag and load defaults. Doing so will help you fix the most common AirTag issues related to connectivity and not pairing and other issues. Resetting AirTag is as simple as removing it from the paired device and re-adding it again.

  • Head over to iPhone’s settings
  • Select the AirTag from the Find My section
  • Swipe and tap on the remove item button
  • Confirm the action to remove AirTag from your device
  • Now bring the AirTag close to your device again and a popup should appear asking you to connect it.
  • Now, simply reconnect the AirTag again and this should solve the problem for you.

By factory resetting AirTag, we are removing or deleting all the settings applied and loading factory defaults. If the underlying issue is caused by some misconfigured settings then this method should solve the problem for us.

Fix All AirTag Related Problems

These are some common issues with Apple AirTag and some methods to solve them easily. Even after trying all the methods mentioned in the article if you can’t get it working again then you might want to take the AirTag to a service center, which might hopefully help you solve the issue.

The most common issue with AirTag is having Two Factor Authentication turned off or you might be using a Managed Apple ID. Anyways, give a shot to all methods to see if you can fix the issue relating to AirTag yourself.
